BookAhead is very different from most mainstream "res.systems". We cater for accommodation AND tour operators, and in fact any online tourism operator (such as marketing and packaging firms) can competently manage online reservations using BookAhead.
It used to be ! BookAhead integrates completely with a number of world-leading payment options. Please see the resources section for the Secure Payments Guide, which explains how simple and inexpensive these alternatives are. And no, you don't have to have a bank online merchant account, although you can use one if you choose !
You do ! After spending a few minutes reading the Quick Start Guide (available in the resources section) you'll realise just how 'point-and-click' BookAhead really is. Of course, if you need any help at all, our friendly staff are on hand to assist and provide our full support.
There is none ! We designed the system to be cost-effective for small, medium and large tourism operators. Incremental growth should be funded by the small per booking fee while the low monthly fee helps contribute to our ongoing hosting, support and development costs.
We do not charge commissions ! We have grown up in the Queensland and Australian domestic tourism industry and we believe YOUR yield is YOURS. By all means, we feel people using our expertise, resources and systems should contribute a portion of costs, and we'd like to make some money too ... but there is no reason for you to lose a large percentage of your revenue just to access an effective online booking engine.
BookAhead has all the complex integration pre-programmed so all you need to do is copy and paste your account reference for PayPal, eWay, WorldPay or Bank Account details into the Administration section. Your secure payments will then be automatically processed with no further set-up ! You don't need a Secure Server as the payment providers supply all the security infrastructure and data encryption to meeting relevant corporate and government regulations. Too easy ! You can provide one or more of our secure payment options (Paypal or credit card via the PayPal facility, credit card via your bank merchant account using eWAY, global credit card processing with WorldPay, and even Direct Deposit electronically into your bank account). You can also set a cut-off date for short notice bookings so Bank Deposits are only permitted a certain number of days in advance of travel !
It certainly is. The system calculates a per booking fee, and at the end of each month we invoice you for the total amount of booking fees accumulated. The amount you choose to pass on to the end user, if any, is configurable by you - and you may choose to pass on the same fee, no fee, or a fee that is smaller or larger than the per booking fee we invoice you for each month.
